Create a group for your regular gaming crew and keep everything in one place. Groups have a shareable invite link so new members can join without any admin overhead. Each group tracks its own members, sessions, and shared game shelf.

Game Sessions

Shenanigames supports two session formats to match how your group actually plays.

Marathon

Built for a full game night or multi-day event where everyone gets a say in what gets played. Each player submits picks from the group's collections, and the session cycles through structured rounds until every pick has had its shot.

• Each player gets a configurable number of picks from anyone's game collection
• Rounds cycle through picks one at a time — every player gets a fair turn
• Players can split into simultaneous game tables during a round
•Unofficial games (side plays between rounds) are tracked in the game log coming soon
•Push completed plays directly to your BoardGameGeek profile coming soon
• Organizers can adjust individual pick counts and promote co-organizers

Simple Session

The plan is to play games, but without as much planning. A lightweight alternative to a Marathon — no rounds, no turn order, just pick a game and go.

• One pick, one game, sure thing. But also... it can scratch that "just one more" itch
• Invite players by handle, email, or add them as analog (non-app) guests
• Spins up automatically from a group's recurring schedule

Game Collections

Every player maintains their own game collection, which becomes the shared pool games are picked from during sessions. Keep it up to date and the rest of the group always knows what's available on game night.

• Import your collection directly from your BoardGameGeek profile in one step
• Search across thousands of games and add titles individually
• Filter by base games or expansions; sort by name, BGG rating, or BGG rank
• Mark favourites on any game in your collection
• Game cards link out to their BoardGameGeek listing
• Collection changes never retroactively affect past session records

Your personal dashboard for everything coming up. See all sessions you're involved in across every group, create new Marathons or Simple sessions, and pick up where you left off.

Notifications

Stay in the loop without having to check the app. Shenanigames sends push notifications when you're invited to a session, when a new round starts, or when it's your turn to pick. Notifications work on both mobile and desktop browsers.

Access

Shenanigames is invite-only. To get in, you'll need to know the creator or someone already on the app who has invites remaining. There's no self-serve sign-up.

Once you have access, sign-in is passwordless — enter your email and we'll send you a magic link. No passwords to remember, no accounts to manage.
